We recently received an update from Climate Action Niagara (CAN) about the status of the Provincial program for Green Housing grants. According to Jane Hanlon, Executive Director of CAN, "There has been little media attention because the government is hesitant to include a budget to advertise a program that may only be around until the next budget"
Hanlon adds that "As long as homeowner’s have their initial audit done shortly (pre-budget), they’ll have until March 2011 to have the retrofits done, the follow up audit and apply for up to $5000 in rebates."
